We have approximately 2,100 employees in the administration. Imaging and laboratory technology is an area within the specialist-independent operational field of laboratory medicine base. The imaging and laboratory technology area consists of three units responsible for maintaining medical technology safety through preventive and corrective maintenance of medical technology equipment. We also assist Region Scania's operations within imaging and functional medicine as well as laboratory medicine with technical expertise. The operation is involved in investments and procurements and participates in research and development within the field. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS We now have the opportunity to welcome a biomedical engineer to Laboratory Technology in Malmö! The work tasks consist mainly of participating in procurements of medical technology equipment. The role also includes responsibility for managing service agreements, serving as an expert in the field, and providing support and advice to operations on medical technology matters. Your role also includes being the operation's contact person with suppliers, participating in interdisciplinary project groups when implementing new instruments and technical solutions, and contributing qualified technical support and advice within the field. Other areas may also occur such as serving in a management group in the role of systems specialist. As a biomedical engineer in Laboratory Technology, you work daily in close contact with laboratory operations. Needs within the different specialties change continuously and work tasks may change to best meet our customers' requirements. There are opportunities to develop within the field. The position's main location is Malmö. Work at other locations in Scania may occur as we have a regional mandate. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree as a university engineer or equivalent education and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Since business travel occurs, primarily to different locations in Scania, a valid B driver's license is a requirement. It is also a prerequisite for the position that you have experience with and good knowledge of procurements within the public sector. Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) is meritorious. We also consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of and experience with troubleshooting medical technology equipment. In addition, we would like to see that you have good knowledge of computer hardware as well as general knowledge of networks and network connections. Experience in participating in projects is considered advantageous. Since you will work with many people from different areas of expertise and with different professional backgrounds, it is important that you are collaborative and can work both independently and in a group.
