At Medical Technology at Östersund Hospital, a total of 17 engineers and technicians work together in various technical groups. Our primary task is to ensure that equipment is safe to use for patients and staff.
We are looking for you who want to work with medical technology in an exciting and stimulating environment. The work involves ensuring that the hospital's equipment and electrical systems function optimally and meet our high requirements for quality, safety, and availability.

WORK TASKS
Examples of work tasks include:
• Incoming inspection of new medical technology equipment
• Participate in installation and removal of medical technology equipment/systems in departments
• Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance
• Maintain and update technical documentation on medical technology equipment
• Ensure that all equipment meets applicable quality and safety standards
• Participate in procurement and purchasing of new equipment
We work primarily with case management, which means we or the departments themselves register cases in the Medusa customer portal system.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is ambitious, thorough, and wants to work with critical equipment in an exciting and stimulating environment. You are practically minded but can also handle administrative tasks.
You have a genuine interest in technology and want to contribute to safe and secure care through advanced technical expertise. You thrive in a role where you can switch between problem-solving, planning, and customer contact, and where you make a real difference every day.
To succeed in this position, it is important that you are service-oriented, flexible, responsive, and have good collaboration skills. Good communication skills are an important tool, and you are structured, with good organization, and take initiative and responsibility within your work area.
You have completed or are pursuing an engineering education, preferably as a higher vocational engineer or higher with a focus on medical technology or equivalent, or alternatively a couple of years of work experience within a relevant field.
You need to master Swedish well in both speech and writing.
It is an advantage if you have previous experience working within a hospital organization and have broader general technical competence. It is also important that you have a drive to make a difference within our core mission and thus see your and your team's contribution as important and significant for healthcare.
