Health and medical care at the Social Administration has developed, we have more staff in the operations, and to strengthen patient safety, we are now expanding with a management responsibility for a Medical Director of Rehabilitation. Here you get a key role in developing quality and patient safety within the rehabilitation/habilitation area, while also providing close support to the operations. Your responsibilities As Medical Director of Rehabilitation, you have a strategic and overall responsibility for ensuring that municipal rehabilitation/habilitation operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and national strategies and action plans. You develop and follow up on guidelines and working methods related to rehabilitation, habilitation, and assistive devices, and work systematically with patient safety within your area of responsibility. You serve as a support to managers and staff on matters within your area of responsibility and actively contribute to the development of operations. The role involves close collaboration with both operations and management, where you participate in driving quality and development work. The assignment also includes cooperation with colleagues within Halmstad Municipality and other municipalities in the region. You are expected to contribute to developing structures and working methods that strengthen quality and ensure that rehabilitation, habilitation, and assistive device management are conducted safely and appropriately while maintaining high quality. You are an important link between operations, the profession, and management, and drive matters both strategically and operationally. As Medical Director of Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for and lead a work group with associated management duties including personnel, work environment, economics, and budget. Your staff will consist of nurses at the health and medical care unit. Requirements: • Higher education or university degree as a licensed occupational therapist or licensed physical therapist • Multiple years of experience in the profession • Good knowledge of applicable legislation within the health and medical care field • Driver's license category B Meritorious: • Experience working in municipal health and medical care • Experience with quality and patient safety work • Experience working as a Medical Director of Rehabilitation • Experience working within LSS operations • Experience with leadership We are looking for someone with a structured work approach who can plan and drive matters forward even when conditions change.
