Duties The position includes standard duties for a medical administrative assistant such as medical documentation, diagnosis classification, mail handling, referral management, patient scheduling, quality register registration, 1177 e-services, and reception work. Various other administrative tasks and own areas of responsibility are also included. The duties vary somewhat between sections. All sections are regional operations and we help each other. Qualifications We seek someone trained as a medical administrative assistant, medical secretary, or physician secretary. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing. We value qualities such as good interpersonal skills, collaboration and initiative abilities, and responsibility. Knowledge of the hospital's healthcare system is a merit; we work in the Cosmic medical records system. Participation in development and improvement work is seen as a natural part of the job. About the Operation The Sinnescentrum business area is a new operational area within Region Örebro County that includes the specialties Otolaryngology (ENT), oral and maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology and venereology, orofacial medicine (OFM), and plastic surgery. The operations are conducted at Universitetssjukhuset Örebro (USÖ) and at the county hospitals in Karlskoga and Lindesberg. The purpose of the consolidation is to strengthen strategic coordination and create a common infrastructure, improve/optimize care flows and collaboration regarding hospital beds, and create synergies, for example within the dermatological surgical center. We also see that it will strengthen the academic profile with increased research and coordination of support functions and clarify and profile highly specialized care within the field of the organs of the senses—regionally and nationally. The new business area will comprise approximately 420 employees, working at Region Örebro County's three hospitals.
