The Palliative Care Department is organizationally part of the Close Care and Health Administration, operating area for mobile teams and specialized palliative care in southwestern Scania. We provide specialized palliative care with the purpose of alleviating symptoms and preventing suffering in connection with incurable or chronic illness, regardless of age or diagnosis. Care can be provided as inpatient care on the ward, which has six beds, enrollment in advanced home care (ASIH), outpatient care at our palliative clinic or in the home and at special accommodations. Care is specialized based on each individual patient's needs.
The Trelleborg operation is a unit consisting of a team of nurses, nursing assistants, social worker, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, dietitian, physician, psychologist, and medical secretary. We are continuously working to develop and strengthen teamwork to create an attractive workplace. Each employee contributes with their specific expertise, and our joint efforts make a significant difference for patients and their families. Our catchment area includes Trelleborg, Svedala, and Vellinge municipalities.

WORK TASKS
As a medical secretary in our operation, you have an important role in the administrative part of the work.
At the unit, you handle administrative tasks such as referral management and registration in PASiS and Melior, while also providing support to colleagues on administrative matters. You work during office hours on other administrative tasks, primarily dictation typing for physicians and printing of medical records, letters, and certificates. You also perform other administrative tasks such as daily incoming and outgoing mail, diagnosis registration, and writing meeting notes. There may also be specific areas of responsibility.
You are physically located in Trelleborg where you are the sole responsible medical secretary with close collaboration with colleagues at the Palliative Unit in Malmö. You are also part of a network with other colleagues in the administration.
You work independently while participating in care processes together with other professionals, where you contribute your administrative expertise. Our work is characterized by close cooperation, which provides good opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you if you have training in healthcare administration of 80 KY-points or 400 YH-points, or equivalent medical secretary training. You should have good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We appreciate good IT skills and experience with various systems such as Melior, PASiS, Itacih, Medspeech, Skånekatalogen, and 1177. It is an advantage if you have previous professional experience and training and practical experience in disease classification.
For this position, we are looking for someone who is positive and has good interaction with patients, family members, and colleagues. You have a good service mindset and ability to cooperate. In your work, you are independent, thorough, flexible, and responsible. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
