The Palliative Care Department is organizationally part of the Close Care and Health Administration, within the Mobile Teams and Specialized Palliative Care operation for southwestern Scania. We offer specialized palliative care aimed at relieving symptoms and preventing suffering in connection with incurable or chronic illness, regardless of age or diagnosis. Care can be provided as inpatient care on the department which has twelve beds, enrollment in advanced home care (ASIH), outpatient care at our palliative clinic, or in the home and at special residential facilities. Care is specialized based on each individual patient's needs. The operation in Malmö is a unit consisting of a team with nurses, nursing assistants, social worker, physiotherapist, psychologist, occupational therapist, dietitian, physician, and medical secretary. We constantly work to develop and strengthen teamwork to create an attractive workplace. DUTIES As a medical secretary in our operation, you have an important role in the administrative part of the work. At the unit, you handle administrative tasks such as referral management, registration in PASiS and Melior, and provide support to colleagues on administrative matters. Additionally, you work during your shift on other administrative tasks, primarily dictation transcription for physicians and printing of medical records, letters, and certificates. You also perform other administrative work such as daily incoming and outgoing mail, diagnosis registrations, and writing meeting minutes. There may also be specific areas of responsibility. You are one of two medical secretaries in Malmö who work in close collaboration with each other. In this role, you also work closely with colleagues at the Palliative Care unit in Trelleborg. You are also part of a network with other colleagues within the administration. You work independently while being part of care processes together with other professionals, where you contribute your administrative expertise. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you if you have training in health and medical care administration of 80 KY credits or 400 YH credits, or equivalent medical secretary training. You also have good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We would like you to have good IT skills and experience with different systems such as Melior, PASiS, Itacih, Medspeech, Skånekatalogen, and 1177. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in the profession and have training and practical experience in disease classification.
