Medborgarskolan Seeks Mentor for FIND 2.0 Project in Götene

Medborgarskolan operates nationwide and our courses and cultural activities engage close to one million participants each year. Our activities are open to everyone and we promote knowledge-seeking, creative expression, and civic engagement through welcoming learning environments and high standards of quality and expertise. Medborgarskolan Region Väst, with regional office in Göteborg, covers Västra Götaland and Halland with over 45 activity locations. We are a non-profit association providing public education, school activities, corporate training, and labor market initiatives. The region has an annual budget of approximately 185 million SEK and approximately 200 employees. Within the Assignment Operations department, we provide rehabilitation and matching services for public actors in 14 locations and manage externally financed projects in the labor market sector. Job Description FIND 2.0 is a collaboration project co-financed by the European Social Fund. The project aims to strengthen employment opportunities for people far from the labor market in Western Sweden and develop new, effective approaches through support, educational initiatives, and labor market engagement. The target group includes working-age men and women receiving financial assistance who may have limited language skills, low education, limited work experience, or health-related barriers. FIND 2.0 works step-by-step and with individual tailoring based on participants' circumstances, needs, and goals. Work includes assessment, individual goal-setting and planning, and skills development in areas such as Swedish language, digital competence, labor market knowledge, and personal development. In parallel, labor market connections are established through employer contacts, study visits, and preparation for internships, employment, or education. Work takes place both individually and in groups, with focus on motivation, trust, hope for the future, and participants' ability to take active steps toward employment or education. As the responsible mentor, your primary task is to ensure we deliver quality services to our clients. You will be operationally responsible for the activities and will have the opportunity to influence participants' development and path toward the labor market. You will, among other things: maintain ongoing contact with municipal case workers be responsible for participant follow-up, documentation, and reporting conducte study visits, assessments, and follow-ups guide, support, and coach participants based on individual needs and goals together with participants identify appropriate tasks and development initiatives plan and conduct group activities, seminars, and lectures share knowledge in areas such as the labor market, civic orientation, and digital competence contribute to a structured, motivating, and development-focused operation. You will work closely with participants, municipal case workers, colleagues, and other collaborative partners. We are looking for someone who has: post-secondary education in areas such as behavioral science, pedagogy, social work, personnel science, labor market topics, or other relevant field experience working with people who are outside or far from the labor market experience with mentoring, coaching, or guidance experience planning and conducting group activities, seminars, lectures, or training strong communication skills, both verbal and written strong administrative skills and experience with documentation, follow-up, and reporting good digital competence and experience with various digital systems ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and with a solution-oriented approach ability to build trusting relationships and motivate people toward development strong collaboration skills with municipalities, authorities, employers, and other actors B-category driver's license. Meritorious It is advantageous if you have: experience with labor market initiatives, matching, rehabilitation, or integration experience with project-financed activities, such as ESF projects experience collaborating with municipalities, the Swedish Public Employment Service, or other authorities experience working with people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds knowledge of labor market conditions and pathways to employment and education experience with employer contacts, study visits, or internships experience lecturing or training in areas such as labor market topics, civic orientation, or digital competence. Application This is a fixed-term position at 50 percent employment through June 30, 2029. Work hours are daytime, Monday–Friday, based in Götene.
