About the Operation BMSS at Knutsväg in Olofstorp is a newly built facility designed to meet the target group's needs with a focus on safety, structure, and well-being. The operation has recently been expanded with two fully equipped apartments with separate entrances as well as shared staff space. We are now seeking team members who want to help shape an operation where structure, strong commitment, and safety guide the work. The target group consists of people with extensive support needs, autism, and challenging behaviors. The residential care offers fully equipped independent housing with close staff support and daily activities connected to the home. We work using low-arousal approaches and individually adapted working methods where predictability, stability, and a holistic perspective are central. The facility is located in Olofstorp with good bus connections from Hjällbo and the city center. Work Tasks We are now seeking support assistants and support aides for BMSS Knutsväg. You will primarily work with a newly moved-in resident, but you are also part of the shared staff team. This means that based on the operation's needs, you will also work in the existing facility. As part of the shared work team, you are expected to be able to work flexibly between operations, where cooperation and a unified approach are crucial for quality and continuity. The work involves providing individually adapted support in the resident's daily life based on implementation plans and applicable legislation. You actively work to create structure, clarity, and safety through pedagogical and low-arousal methods. The assignment includes documentation, collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders, and contributing to the operation's development and quality assurance. The positions involve day, evening, or night shifts according to schedule. Qualifications To work in disability support services, you must be 18 years old, in accordance with the regulations on working environment for minors 14 § and appendix 2 1B (AFS 2023:2). It is a requirement that you can demonstrate approved grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not have this, you may be offered a language test via EducateIt. It is advantageous to have a diploma from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training, or the Children's and Youth Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. Alternatively, other education that the employer deems equivalent, such as specialization in the disability field with at least 200 vocational upper secondary credits or higher education in relevant areas. We would prefer that you have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, preferably in housing with special services according to LSS. You have knowledge of autism and challenging behaviors and understand how low-arousal approaches create safety and prevent conflicts. You have knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and can work with clarifying and structured methods in daily life. You have basic knowledge of LSS and relevant regulations. Another requirement is that you have experience with low-arousal approaches. We also value that you have good experience with AAC, sign support, or TAKK. You are accustomed to working with implementation plans and social documentation. Experience with digital operational systems, such as Treserva, is advantageous. As a person, you are organized, confident, and clear in your communication. You contribute to continuity and stability in the operation, have good cooperation skills, and maintain a professional approach in interactions with residents, colleagues, and family members.
