About the Workplace We offer high-quality housing where the individual's needs, self-determination, and participation are at the center. We are now seeking an engaged support assistant who wants to be part of our team and contribute to creating security, participation, structure, and a meaningful everyday life for our residents. We work based on a respectful and low-arousal approach with the individual's needs and circumstances in focus. What We Offer You Stimulating and varied work where you make a real difference. Regular collegial supervision and time for reflection. Opportunity for work-related development through various representative roles. Ability to set your own schedule based on the organization's needs. Wellness allowance. Opportunity to develop together with engaged colleagues and influence how the organization operates. Job Responsibilities As a support assistant, you work based on each resident's implementation plan and are responsible for planning, implementing, following up, and documenting support measures. You also work based on health and care plans. You support the residents in their daily lives with the goal of strengthening their independence, participation, and quality of life. The work requires you to be attentive to the individual's needs and able to adapt your approach to different situations. A respectful and low-arousal approach is an important part of our working method. The work is performed independently but in close collaboration with colleagues and other professional functions. Tasks include service and care interventions, educational support, and delegated health and care tasks. The organization actively works with quality assurance and development of working methods. We also hold follow-up meetings with residents every month. As a contact person, you need to feel confident planning, implementing, and following up on these meetings together with the resident. We work based on active employee participation where all employees are expected to take responsibility for the organization to function and develop. Through various representative roles, you have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in different areas and influence the organization. Each work shift is described in a digital planning system where you are responsible for ensuring that the day's tasks are completed. Since you work with others, you need to be flexible and adapt when circumstances change. This may mean you need to reprioritize and perform tasks not included in the original planning. It is then important to document and follow up on what has been completed. The planning is based on the residents' implementation plans as well as the organization's work-related tasks and reminders. As a support assistant, you also coordinate and create conditions for residents' quality of life to be as good as possible. You therefore need to feel comfortable in contact with residents, relatives, and various collaboration partners, such as health centers, transport services, daily activities programs, and other important actors around the resident. We view positively those who appreciate collaboration and want to contribute to good cooperation both within and outside the organization. Work hours are scheduled and involve daytime, evening, and every other weekend work. In the work group, you set your own preferred schedule which is then adjusted based on the organization's needs and applicable working time regulations. The workplace also has employees who work night shifts. Within the disability services area in Sala Municipality, you sometimes work at other units to increase workplace learning and create opportunities for experience exchange. Qualifications We are looking for you who: Have upper secondary education in care, children and leisure with relevant specialization or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Have at least two years of experience working in LSS activities. Have knowledge of different disabilities and how they can affect an individual's daily life, communication, and participation. Have experience working with people who need support based on delegated health and care services, such as medication or training. Have knowledge of LSS and documentation according to Social Services Act and Health and Medical Services Act. Are calm, solution-focused, and have a respectful and professional low-arousal approach. Have good computer skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Have experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and knowledge of communicating in different ways, such as through sign language as support. Have a class B driver's license and can drive a car with other people in the vehicle. Can cycle and have the opportunity to cycle at work when the organization requires it. You need to be organized, responsible, and flexible. You should be able to work independently while also being good at collaborating with colleagues and other professionals. It is important that you can take initiative, prioritize tasks, and remain calm when situations change. Meritorious It is meritorious if you: Have work experience as a nursing assistant. Have knowledge of diabetes and previous experience with insulin delegation. Have experience working with people who have previously received forensic psychiatric care. Have experience in pedagogical development work or representative roles. Have training in MI (motivational interviewing). Have completed Career Journey stages 1, 2, and 3. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Employment Terms Full-time, with the possibility to apply for part-time employment. Permanent employment; trial employment may be applied.
