Please read more about our operations and benefits at www.lansstyrelsen.se/vasternorrland Welcome with your application as a reinforcement resource to our rescue and clearance operations! We are now seeking staff members for the Västernorrland rescue and clearance operations who can assist the County Administrative Board and the Rescue Service during peacetime civil emergencies and periods of heightened alert. Peacetime civil emergencies can include, for example, forest fires, oil spills, flooding, and severe weather conditions. During heightened alert and war, the unit is part of civil protection's rescue and clearance operations. The unit operates under the leadership of the County Administrative Board or the rescue commander. In your role as a member of the rescue and clearance operations, you will participate in exercises and undertake skills development training relevant to your assignment. As a reinforcement resource with us, you are part of a large and important context where you have the opportunity to contribute to sustainable societal development in Västernorrland. The work is in constant development and based on our mission, work tasks may change over time. For you, this means you need to be adaptable, but it also gives you opportunities to develop through broadened and deepened expertise. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Completed the Defense Educators' training in forest fire suppression with approved results. It is desirable that you have: Class B driver's license. Your personal suitability for the position is important to us. In the recruitment process, we will therefore place great emphasis on your characteristics and competencies. As a reinforcement resource, we require that you are stable and resilient with good collaboration abilities. Information About the Employment Terms For you who will be part of the unit, we will establish two agreements: Agreement on voluntary service in total defense ("volunteer agreement") Intermittent employment agreement ("hourly employment"). The volunteer agreement involves service in total defense and that you are placed in wartime at the County Administrative Board so you can be a resource during heightened alert. This means that if the government were to decide on heightened alert in the country and if general conscription were implemented, you would work at the County Administrative Board. The hourly employment means that the unit can also be activated during a peacetime crisis. This is regulated through contingent employment where you, as an employee, become part of our personnel pool and can work as needed. Working hours are irregular and can be scheduled with short notice. The hourly employment means we will agree on a framework period for when you can be offered work during a peacetime crisis. Each work occasion during such a framework period counts as a separate employment that you also have the right to decline. Information About the Recruitment Process With your application, we ask you to attach: Curriculum Vitae (CV) Certificate proving that you have completed approved training in forest fire suppression from the Defense Educators. You can obtain the certificate, which must include your name and personal number, digitally from the Defense Educators. You do not need to attach a personal letter. As part of our recruitment process, we conduct background checks on the person who will be offered a position with us. To facilitate this work, we want you to be prepared to upload relevant documentation if you proceed in the recruitment process. You can read more about background checks on our website: Lediga jobb | Länsstyrelsen Västernorrland Information About Working at the County Administrative Board Västernorrland To work with us, you must share the county administrative board's values regarding the equal worth of all people.
