About Us
Solna Municipality's Recreation Library is like a regular library, but instead of books, you can borrow sports and recreation equipment completely free of charge, year-round!
During the winter season, we primarily lend out skates at the ice rink at Bergshamra Sports Facility. We are now seeking a staff member who wants to take responsibility for operations in Bergshamra and participate in our work to make sports, recreation, and outdoor equipment accessible to more residents of Solna.
What Does the Job Involve?
The job involves setting up, staffing, and keeping the operation open at Bergshamra Sports Facility during the winter season. You will work weekends—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (daytime). The position is approximately half-time.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking someone who has
completed upper secondary education with passing grades in Swedish, English, and mathematics. Experience with a focus on recreation or sports is a merit
experience in one or more relevant sports, e.g., skiing
experience in service work and customer interaction
experience independently taking responsibility for an operation/shop
strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
basic knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
We consider it a merit if you have
previous experience with recreation libraries/equipment banks
a driver's license.
As an applicant, you need to be service-oriented, responsible, and enjoy meeting people. You care about providing all our visitors with good service, take initiative, and work in an organized manner. You also adapt well when circumstances change.
The position involves working largely independently at the Bergshamra location. Therefore, you need to feel comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions in your daily work.

About the Application
The position is a fixed-term contract (special fixed-term employment) with a preliminary start date of December 1, 2026. The employment runs from 12/1/2026 to 3/12/2027.
