Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to community development is even greater. With us, you get to do both. We are now looking for a survey technician within operations-related construction projects in Enköping/Mälardalen. At Svevia, we combine the community and teamwork of a small company with the stability of a large enterprise. Here you will have the opportunity to develop as a specialist in roads – with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your assignment as a survey technician
This role involves independent survey work on construction projects, combined with data management in various digital systems. In addition to this, you will occasionally also take on project management responsibilities.
Your main areas of responsibility as a survey technician:
staking out, surveying, and quantity management in smaller construction projects
necessary inspection and calibration of surveying equipment
preparation of reference documentation
models for machine control
Svevia's objective is to be at the forefront when it comes to surveying equipment and software. We currently use primarily GEO and AutoCAD.
Who are you?
We are looking for you with a couple of years of experience in surveying technology related to construction projects. As a person, you are confident in taking personal responsibility for the surveying in your projects, you collaborate easily with others, and you are accustomed to checking and quality-assuring your work. You have a structured approach to work and can plan and communicate your own and others' work.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you:
can operate a total station and GPS
have an interest in technical development
can prepare reference documentation
possess a Class B driver's license
communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
We consider it highly meritorious if you have drone experience as well as experience working with quantity tracking.
Part of something larger
Svevia is today Sweden's largest road maintenance contractor. Within road maintenance and operations, we handle, among other things, summer and winter road maintenance for half of the state's road network. Many municipalities, private companies, and road associations also hire us to take care of their roads and outdoor environments.
With us, you contribute to a larger whole. We plow for families heading to the mountains. We ensure that business freight transport reaches its destination and that streets, squares, and parks are clean and neat. We also protect lives on the road through our traffic management services.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making processes are short, and it's easy to have influence and make your voice heard.
We have career paths for those who want to become managers and leaders, as well as for those who want to develop in their existing professional role. It is as a team that we create success. That's how we do business and generate results. That's how we keep cities and communities running. Do you want to go the distance with us?
Application and information
You apply easily by submitting your CV and answering a few selection questions. Our recruitment process is based on a competency-based approach, which is a prerequisite for recruiting with quality assurance, inclusivity, and without bias. Therefore, we do not want a cover letter.
We will not handle applications between weeks 28-31 due to holidays and will get back to you after that.
If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the recruiting manager David Alriksson at [email protected] or TA Partner Alexandra Zätterlöf Bohlin at [email protected]
