About the Client Our client is a leading player in the defense industry. They develop high-tech systems and solutions that promote global security. About the Position As a materials planner, you are responsible for ensuring that the right material is in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantity so that production can deliver according to plan. You become an important link between production, procurement, inventory, development, and suppliers, and actively work to create a stable and efficient material flow. The role involves both operational and strategic work where you monitor material needs, analyze forecasts, and ensure that deliveries occur according to plan. You work closely with several functions in the organization and have significant responsibility for the items and material flows within your area. You will also work with inventory levels and safety stock, as well as follow up on orders and deliveries to ensure that production can proceed according to plan. In the role, you handle deviations such as material shortages, late deliveries, and changing needs, while identifying risks and taking measures to minimize disruptions to material supply. This role offers a varied day-to-day where no two days are alike, and where you have the opportunity to influence both your own work and the organization's future processes. Your Competence Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, production, or equivalent work experience. Good analytical skills and experience working with large amounts of data. Good computer skills. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Meritorious are experience with IFS or other ERP/MPS systems, knowledge of MRP and material management, as well as experience with inventory management, safety stock, and improvement work in production or supply chain.
