Highlights of the job: Opportunity to influence and inspire students Student and your development in focus Inclusive colleagues Community and joy Your responsibilities As a primary school teacher in Leksand Municipality, you work pedagogically and socially based on the activities' goals and guidelines as well as applicable policy documents. Leksand Municipality's school operations place great emphasis now and going forward on developing students' reading and writing skills, which is integrated with the current curriculum that you are well familiar with. You are responsible for the pedagogical content of teaching and work to promote student learning and development. Co-planning takes place with colleagues within the same subject and grade level. You will work as a teacher in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics and technology. Your responsibilities include collaboration with colleagues and communication with students and guardians. Together with your colleagues, you will participate in projects aimed at developing instruction and increasing students' achievement of learning objectives. A current focus area for us is to improve mathematics grades. You will be part of both a mathematics subject group and a science subject group. The position also includes mentorship for a seventh-grade class. Your profile We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher for grades 7-9 with qualifications in mathematics and science. Meriting to have experience from the teaching profession. As a person, you are flexible and accustomed to planning your work independently, you are solution-oriented and have a good ability to see situations from a holistic perspective. You are also clear, confident and creative and have the ability to inspire our students. You enjoy collaborating in a team and sharing your experiences for collegial learning that contributes to development at the individual, group and organizational levels. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, developmental and stimulating learning environment for students. About the workplace Sammilsdal School grades 7-9 is an upper secondary school with just over 460 students in six parallel classes. We use Google platforms with students and Teams among staff. We work according to a Language, Reading and Writing Plan in all of the municipality's schools. This initiative is evident in all school subjects, not just Swedish.
