About the Role As a measurement and waste technician, you'll work on one of Europe's largest decommissioning projects – the dismantling of Ringhals 1 and 2. The role is practical and varied, where you and your team will be responsible for the safe handling, measurement, and processing of radiological waste. Work takes place in a safety-critical environment with high demands for accuracy, structure, and collaboration. In this role, you will, among other things: • Perform radiological measurements and material classification • Sort, pack, and handle radiological and hazardous waste • Work with loading, load securing, and truck and overhead crane operation • Document and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety procedures • Participate in cutting and breaking down materials and scrap This position suits you if you have a technical interest, enjoy solving problems, and have a feel for accuracy and numbers. You work according to established processes and ensure that work is carried out safely and in a structured manner, with high quality standards at every step. Your Profile We're seeking someone who: • Has completed upper secondary education • Has good computer skills • Expresses yourself well, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English • Holds a Class B driver's license (requirement) • Enjoys technology and measurement technology and finds it easy to understand how things work • Are comfortable with numbers and logical thinking, as mathematical calculations are part of the work • Are meticulous, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a structured manner • Overhead crane and forklift certifications are merits. The Position Employment Type: The position begins with paid radiation safety training to be completed in November. The exact date will be provided upon employment. Upon completion and passing of the training, a fixed-term employment contract (6 months) will apply, with the possibility of permanent employment thereafter.
