On behalf of AkzoNobel Adhesives, AxÖ Consulting is seeking a Machine Safety Specialist for the production facility in Kristinehamn. Here you will have a central specialist role where you ensure that technical changes, machinery, and facilities meet high requirements for safety, functionality, and long-term operational reliability. AkzoNobel Adhesives has manufactured wood adhesives and resin systems in Kristinehamn since 1962. The products are used, among other things, in the manufacture of furniture, carpentry, flooring, and load-bearing structures. AkzoNobel Adhesives is primarily a production facility where our employees have various roles such as process operators, logistics and service operators, as well as a range of support functions within R&D, engineering, quality, and customer service. From the factory in Kristinehamn, large volumes of wood adhesives and resins are delivered to customers all around the world. About the role As a specialist in machine safety, you will be an important part of the technical organization and report to the Technical Manager. You work closely with colleagues in engineering, maintenance, and production and have a central role in ensuring that machinery, facilities, and technical changes meet applicable legislation, internal standards, and the company's high safety requirements. You will be the natural point of contact when machinery is redesigned, new equipment is installed, or improvement proposals are to be implemented in practice. Through your specialist expertise, you contribute to well-founded decisions and ensure that changes are implemented safely before being put into operation. An important part of the assignment also involves developing preventive maintenance. You work to identify and classify safety-critical equipment, develop maintenance strategies, and create conditions for a safe and reliable facility over time. In the role, you will, among other things: Drive and follow up change processes (MOC) Plan, lead, and participate in risk assessments and risk analyses Conduct safety inspections prior to start-up of new or modified facility components (PSSR) Develop, update, and ensure quality of technical safety and process documentation (PSI) Provide support on matters relating to CE marking, machinery regulations, and other relevant legislation Participate in internal and external audits on technical safety. Who are we looking for? We are looking for you who have several years of experience in machine safety within the process industry and who have a good understanding of how technical changes affect production, maintenance, and safety. You likely have a technical education or have acquired equivalent competence through your professional experience. The most important thing is that you have the experience and confidence to independently drive machine safety matters. We see that you have experience in: Machine safety in process industry Risk assessments and risk analyses CE marking and machinery directive or machinery regulations Development of preventive maintenance, identification and classification of safety-critical equipment Working in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. You communicate fluently in Swedish and have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
