You'll be part of our industrial group in Borlänge, where we combine local presence with a strong national network in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, and machine safety. We offer a role for someone who wants to take full responsibility – both in technical matters and in dialogue with clients. You don't just interpret regulations and standards; you are also involved in developing concrete, practical solutions such as modifications, safeguards, and improvements that meet requirements. Placement is primarily in Borlänge, with the possibility to also work from our office in Gävle. Main responsibilities: Conduct risk assessments and prepare safety documentation Advise clients on the Machinery Directive, work environment regulations, and relevant standards Participate in design and construction reviews Provide support in certification and commissioning processes Contribute your expertise and build long-term relationships with clients and colleagues We are not just an advisory team that interprets regulations and standards – we often work very hands-on with our clients. This means we actively develop practical solutions, such as modifications, safeguards, and technical improvements. Your profile We're looking for someone who wants to develop both yourself and our offering to clients. You have: At least 3 years of experience with CE marking, machine safety, or product certification A solid understanding of the Machinery Directive, work environment regulations, and relevant standards such as SS-EN ISO 12100 and SS-EN ISO 13849–1 The ability to work in a structured and independent manner, while also collaborating effectively in a team Excellent communication and instructional skills – with both clients and colleagues Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Class B driver's license It is also an advantage to have: Experience in project management or leading parts of projects Knowledge in ATEX, electrical safety, or system safety An engineering degree or equivalent experience About Norconsult Norconsult is one of the Nordic region's leading consulting firms in infrastructure and urban development, combining engineering, architecture, and digital expertise in projects of all sizes for private and public clients.
