We are now looking for a skilled and technically curious machine operator who wants to strengthen Björneborg Steel's mechanical workshop. Have you worked with lathes, milling machines, in a workshop, or do you enjoy tinkering and solving problems? Then this could be the job for you. About the Position As a machine operator at Björneborg Steel, you work with rough machining of large components in an industrial environment. You prepare workpieces and machines, work according to drawings and instructions, use measuring equipment, and are responsible for maintaining high quality work. You will also work with: Operating and monitoring lathe and milling machines Measuring and documenting according to control instructions Performing operator maintenance Stamping work in the production system We Are Looking for You If You Have experience from industry, workshop, or related field Can read drawings and work meticulously Understand measuring techniques, fits, and tolerances Meritorious if you have CNC control experience Have forklift and overhead crane certification, or are willing to obtain it You are practically inclined, solution-oriented, and take responsibility for your work. You enjoy when things happen, thrive in a workshop environment, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
