Are you a driven and technology-minded person attracted to a developing work environment with experienced and engaged colleagues? Arla Plast is now strengthening its production in Borensberg with additional machine operators. The role is broad and varied, and you will be involved in all stages of the manufacturing process. About Arla Plast Arla Plast is a leading manufacturer and supplier of extruded sheets in technical plastic materials with a wide range of applications including safety products, machine guards, ice hockey rinks, greenhouses, pool covers, sound barriers, luggage, vehicle components, and other building-related applications. The company is headquartered in Borensberg and has a total of six production facilities in Sweden, Czech Republic, Spain, and Finland, as well as a distribution unit in Germany. Arla Plast has annual sales of approximately 1,400 MSEK, employs approximately 400 people, and delivers to more than 1,200 customers in over 50 countries. About the Position Today we have approximately 40 machine operators distributed across three production sections at Arla Plast in Borensberg – and now we want to grow even further. Therefore, we are now seeking additional machine operators to join our team for employment in autumn 2026. When you start with us, you will begin with comprehensive internal training to become a machine operator. The training lasts approximately six months and is conducted on one of our seven extrusion machines, where you will gradually build up both technical knowledge and practical experience. Once you are fully trained as a machine operator, you will take full responsibility for production on your machine during your assigned shift. In the role, you will work closely with your shift colleagues with the goal of producing plastic sheets in as efficient and quality-conscious a manner as possible. Our products are delivered to customers worldwide and are used in, among other things, machine and personal protection, ski lifts, pool protection, and vehicle interiors. Your Tasks As a machine operator, your day is broad and varied, and you will participate in the entire manufacturing process. Your tasks include everything from starting and monitoring production to reporting in business and production systems, documenting manufacturing, and performing both manual and machine-based process steps. You are also responsible for performing quality controls to ensure that our products meet the correct quality standards. You work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues on your shift. The role gives you the opportunity to daily influence and develop the operation through active and continuous improvement work. Since we are recognized for a high quality level, thoroughness and responsibility are important qualities in every aspect of the work. Your Profile We expect that you have education at the upper secondary school level as a foundation, preferably with a focus on industry or technology, and that you have previous experience from process industry or similar operations. As a person, you are quality-conscious, thorough, and technically interested with a curious approach to your work. You are comfortable taking responsibility, can make decisions even at a high pace, and have good stress tolerance. The position requires basic computer skills, and since the work largely involves reading and following instructions, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Forklift and overhead crane certification is a merit. More About the Position Working hours are arranged in 2-, 3-, or 4-shift schedules, which means you need to be flexible and open to working permanent day shift, permanent night shift, or mixed shifts. Our shifts are arranged with 12.2-hour work periods, and on average you work approximately three days per week. During your initial time with us, you will undergo an introduction and training program. The training begins with work as machine support and then gradually transitions to the role of machine operator. During parts of the training period, you will also work shift-based practice, where you have the opportunity to consolidate knowledge in both the machine support and machine operator roles. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Our Offer With us, you will become part of an engaged and supportive team with experienced colleagues who share a common focus on quality, collaboration, and development. You will have the opportunity to work with market-leading products in an international and customer-oriented company where professionalism and long-term thinking characterize the operation. In addition to this, we of course offer secure and attractive employment conditions, such as collective agreements, wellness benefits, and various employee social activities – all so that you feel satisfied, develop, and feel welcome with us.
