Machine Operator / Port Worker in Lidköping

We are seeking a new team member for our terminal in Lidköping Harbor, which also operates Stallbacka Harbor in Trollhättan. This is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. Work is performed during daytime hours 07-16, as well as evenings and weekends when operations require it. Duties include, among other things, loading and unloading of vessels, unloading and receiving of bulk goods, and transport and removal of bulk materials within the area. Also maintenance and cleaning of machinery and associated buildings. Vänerhamn AB is covered by the Port Agreement (Transport) and follows applicable agreements regarding wages, working hours, and compensation. Qualifications We are seeking someone who: has a B driver's license and forklift certification (required) can read and speak Swedish fluently, as the harbor is a high-risk workplace with many safety instructions and communication via radio It is a merit if you: have an operator's license and driving experience with, for example, wheel loader, tractor, excavator, crane, or Bobcat have worked in ports, terminals, and/or warehouses have knowledge of machinery and facility maintenance Personal Qualities Since work is performed in a team, it is important that you: have good teamwork abilities are thorough, attentive, and responsible can follow instructions are helpful and respectful toward colleagues and managers You are welcome to learn more about Vänerhamn AB at www.vanerhamn.se.
