Registration No. 90000013926 Invitation to Join NURSING ASSISTANTS (1.0 FTE, indefinite duration) Blood Components Preparation Department MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES • Participate in blood/blood components preparation processes at the Center and in outreach settings under nurse supervision; • Perform donor identification, macroscopic assessment and labeling of plastic bag tubing systems/main lines and needles in blood and blood components preparation processes; • Provide information to donors about blood and blood components procedures, donor rights and responsibilities within the scope of your competence; • Perform packing and preparation of prepared whole blood units and blood samples for transport/storage; • Perform centrifuge preparation for operation and whole blood/blood components centrifugation under nurse supervision; • Perform freezing of blood components under nurse supervision; • Sort, collect, and prepare used single-use equipment and biomaterial, as well as household waste for transport. REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS • Nursing assistant education; • Registration in the Register of Healthcare Professionals; • State language proficiency in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory acts of the Republic of Latvia; • Digital literacy, including the ability to apply digital technologies and tools and the ability to master the specialized information system ProSang; • High sense of responsibility, accuracy, good collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
