Land Negotiator for Road and Railway Projects

Job Responsibilities As a Land Negotiator, you are responsible for land acquisition matters in the Swedish Transport Administration's investment projects. You serve as a support to projects and manage contacts regarding land acquisition issues. You collaborate internally with project managers and colleagues, and support maintenance and planning activities. Your work includes negotiating compensation for property purchases and encroachments, drafting property legal agreements, and handling damage settlements and disputes. You also participate in planning and design work, and represent the Swedish Transport Administration at land surveying procedures and in contacts with property owners, authorities, and other stakeholders. You will work with both road and railway projects in the Gothenburg area and surrounding region. Since you will handle multiple projects at different stages simultaneously, this role suits you if you appreciate varied work tasks, can quickly shift focus, and independently plan and drive your work forward. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is proactive and independently sees what needs to be done and acts accordingly, with the help of your good problem-solving skills. Since the work involves many contacts with property owners, the public, and other stakeholders, it is important to be a good relationship builder who builds new networks, maintains existing ones, and inspires confidence. You are confident and have good communication skills, conveying messages in a simple and attentive manner, adapting your communication to the recipient. Furthermore, you are a team player with good collaboration skills and share information needed to achieve desired results. We are looking for someone who has - a university or college degree of at least 180 credits in surveying, or alternatively another relevant academic education combined with experience that the Swedish Transport Administration considers equivalent - several years of current and relevant work experience in property law matters - very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written - a driver's license for passenger vehicles. It is meritorious if you have current and relevant work experience in - valuation and negotiation in the property law field - land acquisition matters - property law issues within infrastructure and/or societal development processes. Other Information The work location for this position is Gothenburg. Do you want a flexible workday with the opportunity to work from home?
