Job Description We are now seeking a Service Area Manager with a focus on distribution networks to join our team within Thermal Sweden. The role is flexible regarding location within Sweden, and you will work in a national context with employees in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö. With us, you will have a key role in building on existing operations and clarifying direction, offerings, and priorities during a time when energy systems are changing rapidly. You will be part of the management team and contribute to developing both the offering within distribution networks and operations within Thermal Sweden. As Service Area Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the Distribution Systems service area. The role combines leadership, business development, and delivery responsibility, with a clear focus on strengthening our position and creating continued growth. You have responsibility for personnel, work environment, and results, and work closely with customers and colleagues to develop the business and ensure high-quality deliveries. You lead a team of approximately 10 employees plus a number of subcontractors and are part of a business unit of around 50 people. The role involves collaboration with other Service Area Managers within Thermal Sweden and some travel, primarily related to customer meetings and management responsibilities. Depending on business needs, there is an opportunity to also work operatively in consulting assignments part-time. As Service Area Manager, you are part of the management group for AFRY Thermal Sweden, which currently consists of four service areas: Distribution Systems, Piping and Plant Engineering, Process Design, and Project Management. What knowledge and experience do you need to have? Required: Experience working within district heating/cooling networks, gas pipelines, or similar energy infrastructure Experience leading teams or large projects in complex environments Experience with customer responsibility/sales work Meritorious: Experience in design/construction management Experience in strategy/business development Management experience with personnel and budget responsibility In this role, it is also necessary that you master Swedish and English well, both spoken and written.
