Meal Service Seeks Part-Time Kitchen Staff for Schools and Preschools

About the Workplace Meal Service operates 18 of the municipality's kitchens in schools and preschools, as well as the student café at Fridegården Gymnasium. Our kitchens prepare approximately 4,000 portions daily. Sustainability is central to our work, including efforts to reduce food waste and increase the proportion of vegetarian meals. We prepare our meals with Swedish meat and purchase some organic ingredients. We are now seeking new part-time staff who can fill in during the absence of regular employees. As a part-time worker, you will receive thorough training to continue working within public meal services. Your Responsibilities Your duties include cooking, serving, and dishwashing in the municipality's kitchens, as well as serving and cash handling at Fridegården Café. You will have the opportunity to work in different kitchens and in different facilities. As a part-time worker with us, you may work independently or as part of a team. We are passionate about service, and it is important that you are too—we always want to provide our guests with the best meal experience! Work is scheduled during daytime hours on weekdays, with weekends off. Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following qualifications: Interest in food, meals, and service Initiative, flexibility, and a solution-oriented approach when unexpected situations arise Ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written, to avoid misunderstandings regarding special diets, allergies, and food safety.
