We are now seeking a Meal Service Assistant for elementary school students, grades pre-K through 9.

Working hours are scheduled for weekdays only, excluding holidays.
Your future work tasks
In Finspång Municipality, elementary schools are always served two main dishes, one of which is vegetarian, plus a vegetable bar with at least five different components. Meal Service strives to work sustainably by reducing food waste, using organic products, and sourcing local, seasonal ingredients. As a Meal Service Assistant in one of our kitchens, you will help create good eating habits among our guests by offering modern, delicious, varied, and nutritious food.
The role also includes
The work involves variety and challenges. As a Meal Service Assistant, you work independently and with colleagues within set guidelines and recipes. Other tasks include raw food preparation, serving in the dining hall, dishwashing, self-inspection, ordering, and some facility maintenance—naturally in accordance with unit guidelines.
Who are you?
We are looking for you if you:
have commercial kitchen training or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer
have practical experience working in commercial kitchens, school kitchens, including specialized diets
are responsible and flexible
are solution-oriented
We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is also important that you have computer skills, as many communications are handled via email and several work tasks are performed digitally.
