At Angeredsgymnasiet, collaboration between all different professions within the school is a given. Job responsibilities We are looking for a food service assistant to join our team! You will be part of a larger whole where your work plays an important role in the school's operations. We are looking for someone who sees opportunities, is solution-oriented, and wants to help develop our school restaurant. You will be part of the school restaurant team, where the head chef leads and distributes daily tasks. The operations are overseen by a service manager. Together with two other food service assistants, you will work to create a pleasant and well-functioning meal environment. The operations also include two cooks who are responsible for meal preparation and menu development. This is a full-time permanent position starting in August. As a food service assistant, you will be responsible for preparing and cleaning up before and after meal service, planning, receiving deliveries, dishwashing, laundry, and cleaning. Consideration of economics, environment, and ecological sustainability is included, as well as work with and documentation of Self-Checks/HACCP. You will collaborate with students and staff at the school as well as our customers, which includes being able to provide information about meals, ingredients, allergens, and similar matters. You will have considerable contact with our guests and supervisors—we therefore consider it important to deliver excellent service both to them and within your work group. The work involves many heavy lifts and can be stressful at times. Job tasks may change and additional duties may arise. We collaborate with Schillerska gymnasiet and Hvitfeldska gymnasiet, which means that work may also take place at those schools, and additional units may be added in the future. Qualifications We are looking for someone with large-scale kitchen and restaurant training. Documented experience with meal preparation and extensive knowledge of special diets, and you are knowledgeable about and interested in HACCP. You are flexible, positive, and have good collaborative skills with guests and colleagues, and have a holistic view of meals. It is desirable that you are flexible and responsive, and can provide reliable information to our guests. Order and organization are essential for work in the school restaurant. You are economical and environmentally conscious, and are able to work both as part of a team and independently. The work pace will occasionally be high, which is why it is especially important that you are organized, flexible, and a problem solver. A service-oriented approach is a given for us. The work requires good physical fitness, good IT skills, and very good proficiency in Swedish both spoken and written.
