Ref: 20261783 Job Responsibilities As a communications officer, you are responsible for developing and implementing Malmö Art Hall's communications in close collaboration with the organization's artistic and public engagement work. You work both strategically and operationally to promote exhibitions, programs, and projects to various audiences. The role includes: Leading and coordinating communications efforts around exhibitions, programs, education, and projects Developing and implementing communications strategies to strengthen Malmö Art Hall's position as an art institution and visitor destination Producing content for web, social media, and other digital channels Conveying artistic works and projects in an engaging, accessible, and audience-tailored manner Managing editorial work, including text production, editing, and content planning Planning and executing PR and communications initiatives, and managing press relations and media contacts Collaborating with the Cultural Administration's communications team and contributing to joint communications efforts Coordinating with external partners as needed, such as designers and photographers Contributing communications expertise and advisory services to the organization Qualifications We are looking for someone with: A university degree in media and communications studies (180 credits) or other education that the employer deems equivalent and relevant At least three years of experience in both strategic and operational communications work Knowledge of and interest in contemporary art and cultural production Experience in editorial work and content production for digital channels and social media, and familiarity with relevant digital communications tools Experience in strategic and operational communications work Experience working in art, culture, media, or other creative fields Very strong ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize between parallel tasks Ability to quickly learn new projects and adapt communications for different audiences It is meritorious if you have: Experience from public sector work Experience in press relations and media contacts at national and international levels Additional language skills About the Workplace Malmö Art Hall is one of Sweden's leading art institutions.
