1 position(s). About the District Court Lycksele District Court has eleven employees, five of whom are lawyers. The court now needs to strengthen its capacity with an additional judicial officer to handle a prolonged steady increase in the number of incoming cases. The District Court is small but has a large jurisdiction. The court handles all types of cases and matters normally occurring in a district court in the area from the Norwegian border to several kilometers from the coast. Work at the District Court is characterized by extensive delegation to a very experienced and competent preparation organization. The distance is short between all employees and all work is conducted with a constantly present sense of togetherness; at Lycksele District Court we help each other to do good work together. Both the average age and staff turnover are low. Through regular cooperation and various assignments for the court or individual employees, the District Court is a natural and active part of the collaboration between courts in the Court of Appeal district and in Swedish courts centrally. Lycksele District Court is a modern court with high ambitions in relation to Sweden's courts' strategic goals. The court meets all operational targets and wishes to be at the forefront in all respects and for all stakeholders. Work Tasks We are looking for someone who is trained as a judge and wants to work in a well-functioning district court with varied and developmental tasks. The starting point is that you should work with all types of cases, but there is an opportunity to adapt the content of the judicial work to some extent based on your interests and experience with different case types. The work includes both preparation and adjudication of cases and matters. You are also expected to be an active part of the court's monitoring of legal developments and to assist with training of notaries and other staff. Qualifications, etc. In addition to being a skilled and analytical lawyer, you must be flexible and have high work capacity. You must be able to immediately participate in judicial activities with a high degree of independence and excellent cooperation skills. As a person, you are secure and stable, and we expect you to contribute to the good atmosphere in the workplace. Since the role includes leading the work of junior lawyers, you need to have an interest and aptitude for sharing your knowledge. You must meet the requirements set out in the Board of Judges' requirement profile for regular judges. Since this is an appointment issued by the court itself, you must be a Court of Appeal assessor or Chamber Court assessor, unless you are or have been a regular judge (47 § fifth paragraph first sentence of the District Court Instruction). The employment is a fixed-term position for up to 12 months. Remote work occurs regularly at the court and is conducted according to temporary or ongoing agreements. Other Information The District Court is located in pleasant older premises, centrally situated in Lycksele. Proximity to transportation is significant as Lycksele bus station is located right next to the courthouse. Daily flights between Lycksele and Stockholm depart at times well suited for remote work. Between Lycksele and Umeå there are buses with numerous daily departures. Good and inexpensive accommodation is relatively easy to arrange in Lycksele.
