Lunch Cook at Kvarnen Bar och Kök in Strängnäs Kvarnen Bar och Kök is seeking an engaged and independent lunch cook on a full-time basis. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking and enjoys preparing delicious, well-prepared, and varied Swedish home cooking. As a lunch cook with us, you will be an important part of our operation and responsible for ensuring that our lunch guests receive a good and appreciated meal every day. About the Position The position is full-time and primarily based during daytime/lunch hours. You will mainly be responsible for our lunch service and the daily planning and preparation of lunch meals. We serve Swedish home cooking and therefore we are looking for someone with good knowledge and experience in classic Swedish cuisine. At the same time, we want our lunches to feel varied and inspiring. It is therefore important that you can bring your own ideas and vary the menu so that our returning diners always have something good to look forward to. Responsibilities Plan and prepare the daily lunch Prepare Swedish home cooking with good quality Vary the lunch menu and bring new ideas Prepare ingredients and side dishes Ensure that the food maintains high quality and is presented in an appealing way Maintain order and hygiene in the kitchen Follow food hygiene and self-inspection routines Take responsibility for the kitchen during lunch preparation and service Collaborate with other staff to create a good experience for our guests Assist with other miscellaneous kitchen tasks We Are Looking for You If We would like you to have experience as a cook and have previously worked with lunch service. You need to be confident in the kitchen and be able to work independently. It is important that you: Have experience preparing Swedish home cooking Are creative and enjoy varying the food Can plan and organize your work Are thorough and quality-conscious Have a good understanding of food hygiene Can work independently but also collaborate with colleagues Are positive, responsible, and service-oriented Enjoy working at a fast pace during lunch service We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are primarily looking for a person who is engaged, reliable, and enjoys cooking from scratch.
