About the role
Swedish National Grid is in a development-intensive phase, and as a Solution Architect IT, you play a key role in bridging the organization's requirements and needs with IT, thereby contributing to operationally beneficial digitalization. Your ability to translate the organization's needs into sustainable technical solutions and anchor them with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is central to the role.
In the role, you work with both IT operations and project activities, in close collaboration with colleagues who maintain and further develop our IT systems. Your focus lies on business areas such as finance, HR, procurement, communication, and real estate with corresponding system support, where the majority are standard systems.
The position involves, among other things:
- Leading and driving the development of technical solutions from both an organizational and technical perspective.
- Leading technical workshops and requirements gathering meetings.
- Translating business needs into technical requirements and design.
- Creating and communicating solutions through clear architecture documentation.
- Visualizing and communicating complex technical solutions tailored for different audiences.
- Ensuring that solutions comply with established architecture principles.
- Participating in information classification, system classification, and risk and vulnerability analyses.
- Identifying security risks and defining security measures.
- Working according to agile approaches and established tools.
As a Solution Architect IT, you are part of the IT HR and Finance unit, which provides IT support to Swedish National Grid's internal operations. In your daily work, you collaborate closely with other solution architects, domain architects, IT specialists, vendors, as well as specialists and leaders on the business side.

About you
We are looking for someone who has the ability to translate technical solutions into clear and relevant business language. You are goal-oriented and confident in your role, work in a structured and solution-focused manner, and set clear goals and take responsibility for achieving results. You have the ability to handle and solve complex problems without losing the long-term perspective, and you plan and organize your work well. As a person, you are stable and reliable, meet deadlines, and complete what you start.
Must-have requirements
You have a degree from a college or university in IT, computer science, systems science, or similar, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Swedish National Grid considers equivalent. In addition to that, you have:
- Several years of current experience as a solution architect, or several years of experience in solution design for both applications and associated IT infrastructure.
- Experience in designing integration solutions and interface architecture.
- Understanding of identity management.
- Experience working with requirements management and creating traceability between requirements and design.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
We consider it advantageous if you have:
- Experience working in security-protected operations.
- Experience working in the public sector.
- Experience actively contributing to IT procurement in the public sector.
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks and methodology.
- Experience with applications in areas such as finance, HR, and real estate.

- Possibility to work remotely up to 50% #LI-hybrid.
