The National Heritage Board (Riksantikvarieämbetet) is Sweden's authority for cultural heritage matters. We work to ensure that cultural environments, cultural landscapes, cultural objects, and museums are preserved, used, and developed. Our mission is guided by the government's cultural policy objectives and state cultural heritage work. Our operations are located in Visby, Stockholm, and Tumba, and we also conduct public activities at our visitor destination Glimmingehus. We have approximately 250 employees. You will be placed in the Digital Infrastructure Department, which consists of three units, and you will join our team of architects. Your Assignment: As a solutions architect, your role is to ensure that selected digital platforms and internal administrative systems are developed so that the components work together and the whole functions as intended. The role is technically focused but also requires an understanding of the organization's goals, processes, and information to find the balance between important values so that technology choices provide real benefit. Key Responsibilities: Target Architecture – develop a target architecture describing the desired future state of the digital workplace, including its services, information, and integrations that support employees' daily work and the organization's administrative processes. Translating needs into technical solutions – work closely with the organization to translate requirements into architecture and design so that employees can focus on their work, not on administration or technology. Supporting development teams – be an active resource to development teams throughout the development and implementation process, not just producing architecture documents. The role involves translating target architecture and requirements into practical implementation. Supporting technical decision-making – develop solution proposals and risk and impact analyses for the introduction of new systems. Assisting with technical procurement expertise – serve as technical expertise in connection with procurements. Your Profile: We are looking for someone who enjoys technical detail discussions but also has an interest in the big picture. You are curious, take initiative, and collaborate easily with other roles. You are open to expanding into other related assignments where your competence matches. Your analytical and structured nature will serve you well as you are responsible for presenting the consequences of different technology choices in this role. Your Competence: You hold a degree in computer science or systems science at university level or equivalent. You have at least 5 years of experience working with IT architecture, systems integration, or technical solution design in roles such as solutions architect, IT architect, lead developer, or systems developer. You have deep understanding and practical experience with modern systems development focusing on DevOps, container-based solutions, and API design. You have the ability to assess how AI can be used to streamline operations and strengthen information management. You are experienced working in complex IT environments with high requirements for availability, security, and compliance, such as within the public sector. You are experienced working closely with the business and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Meritorious Qualifications: Experience describing solution proposals at different levels of abstraction depending on the audience and describing solution proposals using models. Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365, particularly in information management, document management, collaboration spaces, and development and maintenance of digital workplaces. Experience developing, maintaining, or specifying solutions for document and case management, filing, and information management within the public sector. Experience with machine-readable linked data and semantic web. Other Information: The employment is permanent. The place of work is Visby. For most positions, we can offer opportunities for remote work for part of your working time. Welcome to apply for the position no later than September 6. Mark your application with RAÄ-2026-2634.
