As a payroll specialist with process focus at the Payroll Office, you won't just work with ongoing payroll tasks. You'll also be our internal driving force for collaboration, development, and optimization of our processes. The Payroll Office is part of the Finance Unit, which is one of four units that belong to the Finance Department. Our team at the Payroll Office currently consists of five employees located in Norrköping. We are responsible for ensuring that approximately 1,700 salaries are handled correctly and paid on time each month, in accordance with applicable collective agreements and legislation. In addition to salary payments, we provide professional support to managers and employees on salary matters and handle reporting to relevant authorities. Together with the team, you will help ensure that the Swedish Maritime Administration's employees receive the correct salary, on time, and with high quality. Responsibilities As a payroll specialist with us, you'll get a variety of tasks such as: • Process development: Identify, map, and implement digital improvements in our existing payroll systems and work methods with efficiency in focus. • Independently handle all aspects of payroll administration, such as absences, allowances, travel reimbursements, and retroactive salaries • Conduct training initiatives for, for example, new managers • Administer salary liabilities, new hires, and terminations in our payroll system and subsystem; Personec P • Ensure correct reporting to the Swedish Tax Agency, SPV, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and other authorities • Follow up statistics and deliver reports to, for example, Statistics Sweden and the Finance Department • Handle simple system administration related to salary payments • Provide support via phone and digital case management • Contribute to transparency, knowledge sharing, and an agile work approach within the team Who are you? For you to both thrive and succeed in the role of payroll specialist, we see that you have: • Post-secondary education in payroll or system administration in the payroll field • At least 3 years of current experience in qualified payroll work • Extensive knowledge of laws, collective agreements, and employment law regulations • Experience working with medium to large payroll systems • Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and data processing • Excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing It is advantageous if you have experience in process development or have participated in improvement and development projects.
