The Municipal Administration is the administration of the municipal council. Approximately 100 employees work here in economics and procurement, communication, IT, administration, business, tourism, HR and payroll, switchboard, security, and legal services. The Municipal Administration is centrally located in Ystad. The Payroll Unit in Ystad Municipality is a team with a shared mission: payroll management, pension administration, and system management. Our team has expertise at different levels, which creates a good mix and wonderful energy where experience blends with new ideas. At the end of 2025, we began our journey toward Payroll Unit 3.0. Our shared goal with this change was to find new ways of working based on our mission to increase efficiency and create development that benefits all involved, both internally and externally. This journey has no stated final destination but continues as we work together to develop and streamline our operations. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS The Payroll Unit handles approximately 5,500 salaries total and consists of 10 salary consultants and 1 payroll manager, and we are part of the Competence and Leadership department along with HR. Our clients for payroll management are Ystad Municipality, Tomelilla Municipality, SÖRF (Southeastern Scania Rescue Service Association), Ystad-Österlen Environmental Association, Ystad Theater, Y-Tower, and Ystad Saltsjöbad, contractors, and elected officials. We manage the payroll system Visma Personec P and the scheduling and staffing systems Time Care/RLDatix. Our pension administration clients are Ystad Municipality, Tomelilla Municipality, Simrishamn Municipality, SÖRF (Southeastern Scania Rescue Service Association), and Ystad-Österlen Environmental Association. You'll have a varied day where you make a difference by combining knowledge with a pedagogical approach. We're looking for someone who wants to work as a temporary salary consultant with us. This position is a temporary role due to sick leave and will primarily focus on payroll administration. QUALIFICATIONS We want you to have education in payroll management or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer, and you must have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It's a plus if you're familiar with the Visma Personec P payroll system and the Time Care scheduling/staffing system. Personality will also play a decisive role in our recruitment. We consult with both municipalities and private companies, which means we work with several collective agreements. It's positive if you've worked with these agreements before. We're a shared support function for managers and employees, and our role is to provide consultative support and help to self-help. The position therefore means you have many contacts, solve problems, and offer professional service. As a person, you are thorough, solution-focused, communicative, and have the ability to maintain focus and a service mindset during periods of high workload. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-10-01 Start date by agreement. Temporary position until 2027-08-31. Working hours: Daytime.
