Facilities Custodian for School Operations

We are seeking a methodical and thorough facilities custodian who enjoys working surrounded by children and young people. The company has been operating since 1999 and consists of two school units. Minervaskolan, located in a charming and historic building from 1925, and Minervagymnasium, whose operations are conducted in a newly built school from 2016. The schools have approximately 1,400 students and employ about 140 staff members. The work environment is characterized by commitment, knowledge, responsibility, and team spirit. About the Position As a facilities custodian at Minervaskolan in Umeå AB, you contribute to creating a safe, clean, and pleasant environment where students and staff can develop and feel good. You are an important part of the school's daily operations and have many points of contact with both students and staff. You will, among other things: Perform daily facilities maintenance in the school's premises Order and manage cleaning materials Report errors and deficiencies in the facilities Collaborate with the school's staff to create a pleasant environment Participate in planning and development of service operations We are looking for someone who: is service-oriented and solution-focused takes responsibility for their work has good collaboration skills is thorough and organized enjoyed working in an environment with children and young people Requirements Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Experience in facilities maintenance Meritorious SRY training or equivalent Experience in facilities maintenance in public sector operations Category B driver's license Experience working in schools, associations, or other organizations where you have worked with children and young people In the event of an interview, we will request an extract from the criminal record register.
