Since one of our colleagues is taking educational leave this fall, we are now seeking a substitute who is interested in working with speech and language disorders in children at our clinic at Gullmarsplan. The position may also involve assessment and treatment of selective mutism.
At the Gullmarsplan Speech-Language Pathology Clinic, you will have four speech-language pathologist colleagues, and since we share facilities with the Midwifery Clinic and administrative staff, there are also several other professions present.
In our operations, we continuously work with professional development, reflection, and experience sharing. You will have opportunities for internal training and cross-operational meetings with other speech-language pathology clinics on a regular basis. To ensure a smooth introduction to work with us, you will be offered mentorship within the organization and a well-developed orientation program.
Job Responsibilities:
Assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with speech and language difficulties, as well as possibly selective mutism in children.
The work is largely employee-directed, and the speech-language pathologists share joint responsibility for the clinic and its patients. The work includes independently planning and conducting patient visits and subsequently documenting relevant information in the Take Care medical records system.
Collaboration with interpreters, schools, and preschools, patient scheduling, cash register operations, review of referrals, and participation in various types of networks and standard employee responsibilities are other examples of tasks that occur in our operations.
Our units receive students from KI, the Speech-Language Pathology Unit, for practice-integrated learning, and as a speech-language pathologist here, all staff with at least two years of clinical experience are expected to supervise students.

Full-time, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is a licensed speech-language pathologist and has experience working with speech and language difficulties in children and adolescents. Training in relevant treatment methods and competence and interest in selective mutism are meriting factors. Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1.

- In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guideline for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
