ABOUT THE JOB Would you like a fun and developmental role? We are now seeking a substitute speech-language pathologist for the central child and student health services. We are looking for you to be part of shaping tomorrow's Lycksele. Our ambitions are high. We work with the starting point that the student is always in focus, and as a speech-language pathologist, you will be part of the preschool and primary school student health services. In your role, you will work closely with other professionals in student health services, such as principals, educators, special education teachers, and school psychologists. You may work with interventions targeting preschool and primary school at the individual, group, and organizational levels. In the central child and student health services, there are also other speech-language pathologists, which enables collegial collaboration. Your work as a speech-language pathologist in student health services includes consultations and guidance to staff regarding communication, language, speech, and reading and writing difficulties. Guidance can also take place together with the school psychologist or special education teacher. In Lycksele Municipality's student health services, we have Språkoteket (Language Library), where educators can borrow materials to work with language, reading, and writing instruction. Special education teachers and speech-language pathologists in student health services assist with lending this material. The position includes professional development efforts regarding, for example, language disorders and dyslexia. You will also participate in development work concerning language, reading, and writing development. The role includes conducting reading and writing assessments. YOUR PROFILE We believe in the right competence in the right place. We are looking for you who are a licensed speech-language pathologist. We consider it a merit if you have previous experience working in schools or with children and young people, and if you have experience leading professional development training in, for example, AAC and TAKK. It is important to us that you have motivation and engagement in your work. You have good social competence and a good manner of interacting with both students and guardians as well as colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and the willingness and interest to be part of a team, together with special education teachers, school psychologists, and other professionals within preschool and primary school, to help children and students develop as much as possible.
