Introduction
We are seeking a logistics developer for our Pump Operations team. You will drive and develop our logistics and warehouse processes, from analysis to implementation, in close collaboration with operations and cross-functional teams.
You will report to the Production Manager.
The position is based in Sala, where we are undergoing a major transformation with new facilities, workflows, and ways of working. Here you have a unique opportunity to be part of it from the start and shape how logistics will actually be built in practice in the future. The role requires daily presence in operations and is therefore not suitable for remote work.
Your Team
You will be part of the Production Engineering team and work at the interface between production engineering, logistics, and warehouse, with a clear focus on developing and improving material flows and work methods.
The role involves an end-to-end perspective on the logistics flow, from analysis to implementation, where you drive and realize improvements that strengthen efficiency and delivery accuracy.
Work takes place in close collaboration with other functions in operations and in dialogue with Metso's global network.
Join us on our journey toward becoming a center of excellence, where our newly built facilities create excellent conditions for continued development.
Your Assignment
This is a role for you who wants to drive change in an operations-focused environment. You work both strategically and operatively with improvement initiatives, with the goal of creating efficient, robust, and sustainable logistics processes.
You develop our logistics solutions, from material flows and work methods to system support, and have a central role in translating ideas into functioning solutions in operations. Work takes place in close collaboration with production, procurement, and planning, where you both challenge existing work methods and ensure that new solutions gain traction.
In this role, you are expected to take initiative, prioritize between different development efforts, and drive the work forward with a clear focus on results and business value. Here you have the opportunity to both set direction and see results in your daily work.
Examples of work tasks:
Analyze processes and drive improvement initiatives, from idea to implementation.
Lead projects and cross-functional collaborations.
Develop and implement strategies, work methods, and solutions.
Follow up on results, ensure business value, and support the organization in new work methods, processes, and tools.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who is used to making things happen and thrives close to operations, preferably with experience from manufacturing industry. You have a good understanding of logistics flows and know what it takes to make solutions work in practice.
With a pragmatic approach, you tackle changes and drive work forward, even when conditions shift. You take responsibility for your direction, are confident in making decisions, and have the ability to bring the organization along.
You are motivated by development and improvement and see technology as an enabler, where automation, digitalization, and smart solutions are natural tools in building the logistics of the future.
We are looking for you who have:
Relevant education in logistics, industrial economics, or similar.
Several years of experience with operational development in an industrial environment.
Experience with project management and change work.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written.
Worked with lean or similar improvement methodologies.
Ability to analyze data and processes.
