Lofsdalen is often called "the small village with big skiing." Lofsdalen is located in Härjedalen, 500 km from Stockholm. The mountain offers fantastic skiing with Sweden's third highest vertical drop (492 m) from the summit at 1125 m above sea level. Lofsdalens Fjällanläggningar AB operates the ski resort with 9 lifts (including 2 modern 6-seat chairlifts) and 25 runs. In addition, we have a Sport Shop, Ski Rental, Ski School, Activities, Commercial Accommodations, Bike Park, Skybar, Paddle Court, and more. We have approximately 60 employees total, about 15 year-round and the rest seasonal. Employee housing is available for rent. As a snow removal operator, you will work with plowing around the ski resort using our wheel loader (L70H), large public parking areas as well as certain cabin/apartment areas and individual properties throughout the village. Working hours are highly variable and are often driven by weather and snowfall amounts. During periods with less snow, we fill hours with other tasks. This can include servicing the resort's machinery, operating lifts, operating snow grooming equipment or assisting with ski rental, etc., depending on your previous experience and skills. Our machinery fleet includes wheel loaders, dump trucks, excavators (21 tons), snow grooming equipment, snowmobiles, sklifts and vehicles. Meritorious qualifications: Previous experience with snow removal and plowing. This is a seasonal position with possible opportunity for extension.
