The municipality is actively engaged in development work in preschools and schools, including after-school care. Description Liljestensskolan is Götene Municipality's unit for all students in grades 7-9. Our natural starting point is that all staff at the school shall work from the perspective of focusing on the student's needs. Every student should have the opportunity to develop based on their conditions and thereby achieve as much as possible. It is together that we want to succeed! Job Duties As a special education teacher at Liljestensskolan, you become an important part of our collective effort to create safe, accessible, and good conditions for all students. You meet students with special support needs, both individually and in small groups, and contribute your special education expertise in identifying needs, analyzing learning situations, and proposing and/or implementing well-thought-out interventions that make a difference in students' everyday lives. In close collaboration with colleagues, you are a pedagogical support and sounding board, where you contribute strategies, methods, materials, and tools that strengthen instruction and develop our learning environments. You plan, implement, evaluate, and further develop instruction in line with the curriculum documents and the school's shared goals. The role also includes supporting colleagues in working with intervention plans – from formulation to follow-up and adjustment of measures. You work closely with the school's student welfare team, teachers, principal, and other staff in an operation where collaboration and shared responsibility are a natural part of the work. We are looking for someone who is engaged, attentive, and flexible, with a genuine desire to meet each student where they are. You have an easy time building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and you thrive in a work team where collaboration, dialogue, and shared development are in focus. Your view of students is based on the conviction that children do well if they can – and that it is our responsibility to together create the conditions needed. You have great commitment to students who sometimes can be challenging, but who also have good opportunities to develop with the right support. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, and be well familiar with the Swedish National School Board's curriculum documents and educational plan. Qualifications You have a special education teacher degree with a focus on mathematics or reading and writing development, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Conditions Permanent employment at 100% employment level, vacation duty. Start date by agreement.
