airBaltic Training, a subsidiary of Latvia's national airline airBaltic, offers a comprehensive range of aviation training services in Riga, Latvia.
Our Pilot Academy operates the most modern and efficient next-generation Diamond DA40/42 aircraft fleet with a brand new simulator located at the airBaltic training center.
We are currently accepting applications for Flight Instructor (FI) positions to join our training team for the 2027 season (March to October). The selection process for this position will begin in December 2026, and selected candidates are expected to start work from March 2027.
We will entrust you with
Preparing training materials and participating in the development of training standards
Creating a favorable learning climate in classrooms, briefing rooms, simulators, and aircraft
Presenting technical and operational knowledge
Integrating threat and error management (TEM) and crew resource management (CRM)
Managing time to achieve training objectives
Monitoring and reviewing student progress, reporting on training results
Evaluating training sessions and activities
If you have
FI unrestricted with total experience of 500 hours (200 h as FI)
ICAO English Level 4 (Level 5 recommended)*
Preferred IR rating and authorization to conduct night training
Authorization to live and work in the EU
Good communication skills and leadership abilities
Latvian language proficiency (C1 level)
