We are seeking an engaged lecturer with specialist competence who wants to develop education, research, and collaboration while making a difference for students' clinical skills and professional development. The position is within the subject of nursing, which at University of Skövde is defined as the science that creates knowledge about caring relationships and actions that, based on the patient's life context, promote physical, mental, social, and existential health. The subject's profile emphasizes the ethical patient perspective as the part of our value base where the patient's vulnerability, their own perspective on their health situation, their own resources, and self-determination are central. Your Role As a Lecturer in Nursing, you will be part of the University's continued development. You are expected to actively contribute to education, research, and collaboration with the surrounding society – with a focus on creating value and relevance in both academia and practice. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence and develop our programs while, together with engaged colleagues, advancing the subject area. You will be part of the research environment DHEAR (Digital HEAlth Research), which contributes knowledge about how society can be made a good place for everyone. Additionally, you will help strengthen the University's profile through participation in both institution-wide and university-wide assignments. The main responsibilities of the position include: Teaching at basic and advanced levels, with particular focus on research methodology, health assessment, and clinical skills training in KTC Supervision and examination of theses at basic and advanced levels Course responsibility and course development at basic and advanced levels Conduct and participate in research projects and collaborate with the surrounding society. Additional work tasks may be included in the position. We are seeking someone with: A completed doctorate or equivalent scientific competence or other professional skills of relevance to the position's subject content and work tasks. Demonstrated pedagogical skills. Documented good collaboration skills. Documented experience teaching nursing at university level. We will also evaluate the following assessment criteria in the recruitment: Of highest importance: An advanced specialist nurse degree or equivalent. Documented experience in clinical work as an advanced specialist nurse, with particular focus on children and young people. Of next highest importance: The degree of skills required for eligibility. Completed university pedagogical education of at least 15 credits or certification of education in university pedagogy equivalent to 15 credits or demonstrated equivalent knowledge in another way. Also of importance: Documented good administrative skills. Demonstrated scientific skills. Documented good ability to work independently.
