The position is within the subject of information technology, which at University of Skövde is defined as the study of how information is represented, processed and communicated in artificial and natural systems, and how information technology systems are used and developed to create useful system solutions for individuals, organizations or society. Information technology is in an expansive phase and we are looking for more employees who want to help develop our activities in both teaching and research! Your Role We are looking for you to strengthen and develop our activities in information and cybersecurity – an area in strong growth with great societal relevance. As a lecturer, you are involved in developing research, education and collaboration, and contribute to the university's joint activities. You are expected to contribute to developing and strengthening our research, particularly by initiating and participating in externally funded projects. Our participation in Cybercampus Sweden and strategic initiatives create good opportunities to build a clear research profile. Over time, you develop your own research focus and contribute to a strong and growing research environment. You teach primarily at undergraduate and advanced levels, and to some extent at the doctoral level. The role involves contributing to and further developing education in an area where there is high demand for expertise. You actively contribute to collaboration with the surrounding community by developing external partnerships, participating in contract education and strengthening the visibility and relevance of research. The main work tasks within the position are: Teaching in information and cybersecurity, as well as personal integrity. Research in information and cybersecurity, as well as personal integrity. Drive and participate in applications for externally funded research, primarily focused on information and cybersecurity, as well as personal data protection. Additional work tasks may be included in the position. Requirements for the Position: Completed doctoral degree or equivalent scientific competence or other professional skills that are significant in relation to the subject matter of the position and the work tasks that are to be included. Demonstrated teaching skills. Documented experience in teaching and research in information and cybersecurity, as well as personal integrity. Documented ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in written form. We will also evaluate the following assessment criteria for the position: Of highest importance: The degree of competence required for eligibility. Demonstrated scientific skills. Documented experience in conducting research in information and cybersecurity, as well as personal integrity. Documented experience in teaching and course development in information and cybersecurity, as well as personal integrity. Of second highest importance: Documented good collaboration skills Completed higher education pedagogical training of at least 15 higher education credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge. Experience of collaboration between academia, industry and the public sector. Also of importance: Documented good administrative skills.
