It is a school for grades F-9 with approximately 700 students and just over 100 staff. The school grounds comprise three different buildings, two of which are relatively newly built. One for grades 1-6, one for grades 7-9 and one for preschool class, after-school center and preparation class. The upper secondary section is the municipality's only upper secondary school with approximately 330 students in grades 7-9. The school was built in 2015 and each student has access to their own computer. The students at the school represent a cross-section of our society and approximately 60 staff work at the school. Teaching shall be adapted based on students' needs and staff have high expectations that students will achieve good results. We have a well-functioning support system aimed at quickly identifying students and providing early intervention. The school has special education teachers, special education coordinator, counselor, school nurse, study and career advisor and through student health services there is access to school psychologist and school doctor. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable textile craft teacher for grades 3-9 who wants to become part of Nordmarken School and Svensbyns School. As a craft teacher you will work in a team with a strong focus on collaboration and support, both within the team and with other subject colleagues. You have an important role in supporting students' development, both linguistically and socially. QUALIFICATIONS • Teaching degree with certification to teach textile craft for grades 3-9 • Good knowledge of craft • Experience teaching in primary school is advantageous • Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment • Good collaboration skills and experience working in subject and work teams • Interest in developing teaching with support of digital tools • Commitment to students' knowledge development and well-being Advantages include: Experience with and knowledge of NPF (Neuromuscular Problems/Disabilities Framework).
