Child Health Services Psychology Unit, Eksjö
Ready for new challenges where you can influence children's and families' mental health from the start? At our Child Health Services Psychology Unit, you'll step into a developing role where you work preventatively with expectant parents and families with young children. Here you'll grow professionally in a competent team and contribute to creating good conditions for life ahead.
The Psychologist Role
We are now seeking a licensed psychologist for the Child Health Services Psychology Unit in Eksjö.
As a psychologist with us, you'll work in a care chain from pregnancy through transition to school health services. You'll have the opportunity to work with both children and adults. Most interventions involve support in various ways in parenting, both individually and in groups. This can range from supporting parents in managing and responding to different developmental behaviors in their children to fear of childbirth and postpartum depression. Interventions to promote interaction and attachment are also part of the role.
You'll work with assessment and evaluation of preschool-age children at the basic level, and provide consultation to child health nurses and midwives. In addition to close collaboration with child health nurses, you'll also work with other professionals at family centers in the area. For individual children/families, you'll also collaborate as needed with, for example, preschools and social services.
You're offered a permanent full-time position with an employment start date by agreement.
The sense of participation and purpose is reflected nicely in our employee survey, which year after year shows very good results.
Your Future Workplace
Region Jönköping County strives to be the best place for children to grow up, and part of this is shaping the future of child health services. Child Health Services in Region Jönköping County is its own county-wide operation, where all the county's parent and child health service psychologists are gathered under one common psychology unit with a licensed psychologist as head. There are often also PTP psychologists in the operation as we strive to offer future psychologists an arena to start their professional development in a secure context.
The place of work is Eksjö, where there's already a licensed colleague. Since we have operations throughout the county and collaborate, travel to other parts of the county may be required; this occurs during work time and requires that you have a valid driver's license (Class B).

You have good knowledge of, or are curious to learn more about, young children's development and basic-level child assessments.
