The organization is in a development phase where the cognitive program is being updated with a focus on both assessment and rehabilitation based on current evidence, which means that as a psychologist you get an important and active role in this work. The role includes, among other things, conducting neuropsychological and cognitive assessments, performing traffic medicine evaluations, and assessing work capacity on behalf of the Social Insurance Agency. You also work with assessing patients' rehabilitation prerequisites. The work is primarily directed toward patients with neurological diseases and injuries, but interventions can also occur in areas such as chronic pain and stress. You will be part of a multimodal team where you work closely with other professions such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, physicians, and nurses. Teamwork is central and is based on each profession contributing its expertise in both assessment and rehabilitation interventions. We actively work with development and improvement of the organization and see participation in development work as a natural part of the role. Neurocentrum also has a long-term commitment to research and development, and since 2019 there has been a R&D council that works to collect, generate, and disseminate new knowledge in the field.
