Child and adolescent psychiatry is a medical specialty in strong development. An increased amount of clinical research has resulted in increasingly more evidence-based treatment methods. The activity is an exciting specialty for physicians who want to work with a holistic approach based on medical, biological, psychological, and social perspectives. BUP Stockholm offers a broad and differentiated treatment services for children and adolescents aged 0-17 years, with both acute and planned care. The activity consists of 12 specialized outpatient clinics distributed across Stockholm County, 3 intermediate care units that can offer more intensive and mobile treatment interventions, as well as several specialized units that offer highly specialized care services. Additionally, we have 24-hour care with acute care and three inpatient wards. Job Description Work at an outpatient clinic or within 24-hour care with access to regular supervision. Assessment and treatment of child and adolescent psychiatric conditions. The work is characterized by collaboration with other professional categories within BUP. Opportunity to participate in recurring specialist training seminars. The work also includes on-call duties. During the first 3 months, you will have introductory and evening shifts; thereafter, you are expected to be able to work night shifts and weekend shifts with on-call coverage from home. Qualifications You should be a licensed physician and have completed medical internship or basic training. You should have a strong interest in child and adolescent psychiatry. Previous experience working in psychiatric services or with children and adolescents is meritorious.
