About the role As a dietitian and meal development specialist, you have a broad and important role. You work with patients to prevent and treat malnutrition in our residents while also being responsible for developing attractive, sustainable, and safe meal processes in line with the Swedish Food Agency's national guidelines for elderly care. Approximately half of the role is tied to Västerås, with the remainder involving support and development work across our operations nationally. Travel as part of the job occurs. Your responsibilities Responsible for medical nutrition, conduct risk assessments, establish individual nutrition plans in journal systems, and participate in weekly rounds Develop nutrition-calculated menus, including for tenders, and conduct meal observations Contribute expertise in procurement of food and kitchen equipment Ensure that food legislation requirements are implemented in operations and conduct risk analyses and establish HACCP plans Support operations in self-inspection and deviation management work Serve as an advisory resource for nurses and healthcare teams throughout the country Train staff in areas such as fasting protocols, dysphagia, and food hygiene Inspire and create engagement for ecological, social, and economic sustainability. Who are you? You are a licensed dietitian with a strong interest in meal development and elderly care. You have experience with clinical nutrition, large-scale kitchens, HACCP, and current food legislation, as well as good knowledge of the Swedish Food Agency's guidelines. As a person, you are communicative, pedagogical, and structured. You enjoy working independently and leading, mentoring, and collaborating with colleagues, management, and external parties. Experience conducting audits is a merit. Where you'll work Your base will be Forenede Care's office on Öster Mälarstrand in Västerås. The role simultaneously extends across the entire country and involves close contact with our operations, both on-site and remotely. We also require valid Swedish work authorization, such as a passport or approved work permit from the Swedish Migration Agency.
