The Skellefteå local care area includes the Emergency Department, Center for Surgical Operations, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work to provide good and accessible care. At the Rehabilitation Center, we offer rehabilitation to patients in inpatient care, outpatient clinics, in their homes, and at our day activity programs. Our mission is to provide effective, person-centered, and professional rehabilitation to people of all ages who are treated at or referred to Skellefteå Hospital. We have approximately 50 employees with different professions – occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, rehabilitation assistants, and nurses. We are organized into four departments based on a process perspective, which creates good conditions for collaboration, development, and continuity in the patient's rehabilitation. DUTIES As an occupational therapist with us, you will have an important role in patient rehabilitation and contribute to helping people regain, maintain, or develop their ability to function in everyday life. You will primarily work with rehabilitation of patients on inpatient wards. Outpatient clinic and group activities may also occur. In this role, you will contribute your occupational therapy expertise to the team and work closely with other professionals to create cohesive and secure rehabilitation for the patient. The work also includes collaboration with other departments, documentation, and handover reports. You work independently, make your own assessments, and make decisions based on patient needs. The role also involves planning and organizing your workday in a structured and efficient manner. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and who want to use your expertise in meaningful work where you make a difference for patients in their daily lives. To succeed in this role, you need to be flexible, be able to plan and prioritize your work, and feel confident making independent assessments based on patient needs.
