DUTIES
We are now recruiting a registered nurse for Pajala Municipality.
As a registered nurse at Pajala Municipality, you will have varied and independent work. Your responsibilities include medical assessments, medication management, wound care, and end-of-life care. The work involves significant personal responsibility with varied tasks, so it is important that you feel confident in your professional role.
Working hours are Monday through Friday, daytime.
An important part of the role is to guide, support, and educate/delegate healthcare tasks to nursing assistants.
You will be part of the municipality's Health and Healthcare Unit, which in addition to registered nurses includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and district nurses.
QUALIFICATIONS
• You are a registered nurse
• You have a person-centered approach
• You enjoy working independently and in teams
• You have good communication skills
• Experience in municipal care or short-term housing is an asset
• Valid driver's license category B (required)
Before employment, a registry extract must be presented according to law 2026:43 Act on background checks for work in homes for elderly persons or adults with disabilities.
Employment type: Fixed-term contract.
Duration: 6 months or longer, ending: 2027-08-31.

Pajala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting. This means the salary is set based on applicable collective agreement general provisions including attachments and the municipality's salary policy. Upon new employment, an individual assessment of the salary is made based on the requirements of the position. Within the Kommunal agreement area, the minimum starting salary is 23,638 kr. For employees with vocational upper secondary education, the starting salary is 25,798 kr.
Pajala Municipality is part of the administrative area for Meänkieli and Finnish, so knowledge of one or both of these languages is an asset.
