The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå is Northern Sweden's largest psychiatric clinic with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric care wards, forensic psychiatric services, several specialized outpatient clinics, and treatment units. The Psychiatric Clinic has moved to a newly built facility where the care environment is shaped by the importance of the environment for promoting health. We are seeking a licensed psychologist for the Psychiatric Acute Care and Assessment Clinic The Psychiatric Acute Care and Assessment Clinic serves a broad psychiatric patient population. The clinic's mission includes psychiatric acute care, diagnostics, and treatment. A central task is conducting psychiatric assessments of patients referred from other healthcare providers/organizations. This includes, in some cases, referring patients to the appropriate level of care within the region. We offer care in the form of medication, investigation, curative interventions, and psychological treatment. The Acute Care and Assessment Clinic has multiprofessional teams consisting of nurses, registered nurses, social workers, psychologists, and physicians. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a psychologist with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. As a psychologist at the Psychiatric Acute Care and Assessment Clinic, your main responsibility will be conducting general psychiatric baseline assessments with new adult psychiatry patients. Assessments are conducted in a structured manner with a focus on initial diagnostics and assessment of level of care needed. Work with neuropsychiatric investigations also occurs, conducted according to the clinic's procedures. In your work, you will have good support from the professional team at the clinic. QUALIFICATIONS Licensed psychologist with experience working in psychiatric care or equivalent activities. Experience with structured diagnostics/investigation is also a merit. We are looking for someone who likes taking own initiatives, works in a structured manner, and wants to engage in development and change work. The position requires that you are confident in your role as a psychologist, can work independently, and have good communication skills, both in relation to colleagues and patients.
